Matt Raschka and Scott Wray met in 1992 at Salisbury State University
(now Salisbury University) on Maryland's eastern shore. Both
Matt and Scott were surfers, swimmers and artists so they became
close friends quickly. Both guys were star members of the Men's
Varsity Swim Team and graduated with degrees in Art.
After college Matt moved into the world of newspaper art working at the
Capital in Annapolis and the Baltimore Sun. Moving on from there Matt then
worked at a small advertising and marketing firm in Baltimore while living
in Federal Hill. The world of web design was calling and Matt's good friend
Scott recommended him for an opportunity in Washington D.C. Moving south on
Interstate 95, Matt moved to Chevy Chase, MD and worked for a government
contractor downtown. Matt then moved into the financial world becoming a
lead designer for a local mutual fund company and finally landing at a
leading web design and technology firm in northern Virginia. Now, as
President of Manhattan Trio he's fully dedicated to serving his clients
and producing the top quality design work for which they have become known.
Matt's life is equally as fast paced and varied as his career
has been. The water is Matt's love, whether it be surfing or
swimming or even taking advantage of the frozen variety and
hitting the slopes on his snowboard in the winter. Matt is also
the cofounder of a local social club for triathletes, The Washington
Iron Nuts. He competed in 5 local triathlons during the summer
of 2001 and continues to train for future events. Matt currently
resides in the Annapolis area between Labor Day and Memorial
Day during the fall, winter and spring but during the summer
he can often be found in Dewey Beach, Delaware. See you at the
Starboard!
Scott began his career out of college with a defense contractor, and soon
after moved over to a position with a contractor working for the Department
of Housing and Urban Development. After bringing his friend Matt onboard, Scott
quickly moved through the ranks and eventually became the design team lead
on the www.HUD.gov project. Scott and Matt were roommates in Chevy Chase, MD
while both working in D.C. and enjoyed the daily adventure of commuting down
Connecticut Avenue to their offices just south of the Mall.
Recently married to his college sweetheart, Scott now resides in Howard
County, MD with his wife Cindy and their dog Lassie. When not spending
time with family and friends, Scott's normally either at the garden center, or
planting the latest shrub he just picked up. Of course, in the summer, Scott
can be found just down the road from Matt, in Ocean City, MD where he spent
much of his childhood.
